Arctic Safe A-60 Certified by USCG
(New Orleans) The Arctic Safe Freezer/Cooler, designed and manufactured by Cospolich Refrigerator Co., has been certified in compliance with USCG A-60 regulations. A-60 is a particular measurement of fire resistance as defined by U. S. Coast Guard standards.
The Coast Guard certification specifically applies to the Arctic Safe design and installation for four anchor handling and supply tugs now being constructed by Moss Point (MS) Marine, Inc., a division of Halter Marine, Inc.
According to Mark Whitfield, president of Cospolich, "This is an exciting product, which has enjoyed tremendous acceptance in the Marine industry."
Arctic Safe is a large freezer/cooler unit that also includes a floor section. Arctic Safe is modular in design and construction, which means the unit is manufactured to specifically fit into the space provided on-board the ship, and the unit is assembled at the installation site.
Cospolich Refrigerator Co. was founded in New Orleans in 1937. The company designs and manufactures food storage units for the marine, institutional, and hospitality industries, as well as specialized units for manufacturers and industrial customers. (10-02-98)
